This is an interesting place and it is well worth the visit. It will take you a half day as it is a large site but there are lots to see and learn. Staff are friendly and helpful. If it is sunny, bright and hot outside when you pay a visit, make sure you bring enough water.

Very interesting place, but remember about rain or snow, much better to visit when the weather is sunny. But unfortunately many houses or rooms were closed, probably due to Covid-19. One time, at least, must be visited. Also, very nice restaurant there, good to visit after long walking on the nature.

Great experience! Fantastic restoration work! It was a thrill just walking true that maze and experiencing what it would have been like so many years ago...!

This is a great lesson in history. There is not a lot of the old Nazi Atlantic Wall in existence. This museum does a nice job of showing how it was at the beginning of WWII. Of course, the invasion was in Normandy and not here so this is well preserved and signage does a nice job of showing what everything was for. Recommended!!!

An impressive museum featuring a fully preserved section of the WW2 Atlantikwall. Fully restored bunkers, original pieces and weaponry. Especially interesting is the additional bunker build right after the Normandy invasion to protect their piece of the Atlantikwall against inland allied attacks.

During my D-Day tour I did visited Atlantic Wall open-air museum. The one think I liked the most is that the museum is an open air museum and the they had everything in the original sate. The bunker with the PAK 40 inside gives you a good impression of how the bunker looked like back in the day. I only visited the WW2 part of the museum. And I must admit that this gives you a good impression of the Atlantic defences during ww2. The audio tour that I get during the tour was not that great. Most of the information was very standard. The parking is free and the tickets are not expansive.

Excellent Museum. There is much more to see here than I expected. The visit to the First World War battery is interesting, but the Second World War battery is the highlight. Excellent audio guide and self guided tour through the tunnels and fortifications. There is quite a bit of walking, steep steps and low tunnels, so not perhaps for the less physically able, but otherwise highly recommended.
