The visit of the mine is a very interesting experience
The mines itself and the explanation was interesting but sadly enough in desperate need of an update. While it didn't take anything away from the view or it's educational value; the electronic guide system needs new tapes. It still talks about visiting the lower levels later on while they aren't available anymore and flooded by water. It also refers to pictures that are no longer on the wall. Even despite that it's certainly worth a visit and not all that expensive so if you want to learn something about shale and how it is won; be sure to visit. You can also find shale decorations and plates in the shop for small prices. Be sure to bring cash though since you can't pay by card due to lack of network that way out of town.

Balade dans une mines d'ardoise : C'est impressionnant de se rendre compte de leur travail et la visite nous remet bien dans le contexte. Prendre le temps de parler avec les gens et de manger un bout, nous a fait apprécier le cadre.
