Nice location, interesting museum
Very well made. Kind reception. Babybuggy friendly. Garden was closed as mentionned due to some storm damage. Might be a whole before it reopens. Parking available on the street.
Food --. setting .. persn. .. Kids . Wheelchairs -.. Price . It's not a restaurant, the onside pub serves only drinks! Interesting historic sites which brings midieval Europe to life for people and children of all ages. Park is wheelchair accesible, but unpractical do it is a minus. It was also unlogical that ticket counters are in a different building far away from the main museum with wheelchair entrance. Please Click the thumbs up if this was helpful.
Very interesting ruins of one of the Abbeys of the Cistercian Order whose monks left the Abbey for good in the early part of the 16th century. The excavations are puny compared to the area the entire Abbey covered back then. Ofcourse, you'd have to dig under apartment blocks now to get to those ruins. Definitely a must do if visiting the Oostende
This museum is quite large (13 rooms divided over 3 floors) and accompanied by a lovely park and the ruins of the old Abbey. The displays are very nice and modern. Everything was very clean and there was even a play area for children with a puzzle wall and a board game. Definitely recommended.
Its a place that has old stuff. Not that its boring, on the contrary. Many things to look at and sometimes touch. Would I go back? Probably not, its not like as if it's a restaurant.
Very interesting with many different interactive elements but not very well held
