This museum is one of the many free things to do in Brussels. The museum is housed in a beautiful building with two floors of exhibits. The second floor was the most interesting to me. It recounts the history of money and banking starting with ancient cultures who used shells or feathered belts as currency and ending with the present-day. There are interactive screens in 4 languages telling you about the exhibits and an audio gives vignettes of important people's lives in the context of money/banking. The downstairs is more about banking/finance today and the art work on money itself.

It's free museum that you can enjoy. All about the history of money in belgium and then the Euro. Also explain in other culture what will use as money. Explanation of the aproximation of the pay between a man, woman and child/youth. How in old times they calculated the currency and the interests. It is a 3-tier museum, very clean and at the end you can print your picture in the money.

A wonderful museum with lots to absorb and read. It is free and has an interactive program for younger kids. There is an audio tour available that is fantastic and is fun for people of all ages. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area, but allow at least an hour to two hours to fully take in the whole exhibit.
