Was nice and explained well how the fishermen lived back then (in Dutch) but was quite a short visit. Would have loved to see more in the museum. There was a carcass of a whale that is due to arrive in 2-4 years, because it’s still being researched at the university so that’ll be nice to see then! The aquarium in the basement was also a nice touch.

Museum is modern, small & pleasant to explore. The horse - fishing subject itself is unusual & quite interesting to learn about. The nicest part is the restaurant in a charming old building with typical local fish food & superb beer. Table booking is highly recommended for the weekend.

Easy accessible museum. Well made. Small parking is closeby. Connected with a short sidewalk.

I found it very interesting, it's not just a fishery museum, it focuses on the history and fates of Belgian fishermen and their families who stayed at home on the coast. The exhibition does a very good job in pulling you into their life and their troubles - we spend two hours here and didn't listen to every piece of the audio tour.
