This is one of the best beers in the world! The 12 is amazing! Laid back environment, super quick service, even when the house is busy. A friendly staff will serve you their 3 great beers (produced right across the street), which you can also buy at their gift shop. Do not buy after eating there, rather buy your beers to take home as soon as you get there! Because sometimes they run out and you cannot take bottles with you, which can be frustrating. Also, try their pie with whipped cream and ice cream! It's amazing! Certainly worth the visit

An exceptional establishment with fantastic views of Flander’s fields. The beer is the world’s greatest and the food very complementary. Try the gift shop and hope they have the 12. If not get an 8

Outside of the monastery, this is the only official place you can get hold of the Westvleteren 12 trappist beer. In the past, the gift shop also sells bottled beers (except for westy 12), but it seems they have stopped now. Outdoor seating overlooks some farmlands and is quite breathtaking during sunset and good weather day. It is a pity that almost everyone sitting outside, smokes. The food is quite good, go for the beer platter which offers a selection of cheese, sausages, pate and bread. Otherwise, you can go for the cheese, pate or combo platter. The apple pie is pretty good too. Go there for the westy 12. Don't try the other beers until you have tried the 12. Most people would stop at 1 beer because they are high alcohol.

Situated in the middle of very calm and peaceful area surrounded by farm fields. Apparently the best beers in the world are found here. Tried N.12, it was quite strong. Loved the taste along with the cheese and pickle platter. Prices decent. The restaurant serves decent food. Heard the cheese pasta is delicious. Ample parking space available. Also street parking possible if inside parking is full. Couldn't go inside the Abbey as it was closed for visitors. You can buy beers to take home, but there is quite a bit of waiting period and there is also restrictions on how many you can buy

Quick and friendly service, great food and tasty beer in a quiet, rural neighborhood make for a wonderful experience.

In this magical restaurant, the only one authorized to serve the Westvleteren Blonde, 8 and 12 beers, you can drop in without reservation to enjoy the fine beers and food in a cafeteria-like setting with table service. Ample parking, outdoor seating during better weather, and very friendly service staff (all locals!) make this a pleasurable and unpretentious visit. Hard to imagine that the beer is so difficult to purchase outside this one establishment, but yet served to you so easily once you sit down. Amazingly beautiful location, in the middle of farmland, and so affordable!

Some of the best and rarest Belgian Trappist beer in the world - that alone warrants the rating. The snacks are okay (the Abbey cheese is good), but the beer ice cream is out of sight - creamy, sweet, slightly estery, and just a little boozy. Service was efficient and courteous, and the views of the Belgian countryside and Abbey grounds are fantastic.

Great service, the attendant was very friendly even though she was super busy. Wonderful food, especially the soup that I forced myself to eat 2 since I wouldn’t be able to return to the place on the same trip, it comes with a very tasty malt roll, for dessert an amazing creamy apple pie. And the beer, I don’t even need to say anything. And the most impressive was not expensive at all.
