Beautiful little town with picturesque walkways and lovely gardens. We visited the bellfry and enjoyed the views in all 4 directions. The steps are steep and the adventure is not for those who are afraid of heights since the steps are transparent and the walkways are narrow. The bells ring on the half hour and on the hour. On the day we were here, the also played a Christmas Carol on the half hour and on the hour.
Amazing view of town an n be surrounding area. Make sure you go up to belfry during the bells ringing. The ringing is done with a pneumatic system now, but the original mechanisms are all there in plain sight. Fantastic way to learn about the purpose of the belfry in the town.

Je n'avais jamais vraiment pris le temps de m'attarder à Thuin et j'avais bien tort, une superbe petite ville vallonnée qu'on peut admirer depuis le haut du beffroi. A 3 euros l'entrée je ne vois aucune raison de se priver, je retire juste une étoile pour le manque de propreté des vitres du beffroi qui gâchent un peu l'expérience. J'ai néanmoins averti les dames à l'accueil et j'espère que ce sera fait. Je ne regrette pas ma visite pour autant.
Het is nu heel stil in deze heel mooie stad. De ode wandeling\ vanaf het Belfort door en rond de stad is een aanrader
