Very poignant memorial at Polygon wood and the associated ANZAC monument. Built on a huge Butte at the end of an old rifle range, the site was used as a hospital and first aid station during world war 1. A walk through the woods reveals multiple German bunkers and reinforcements and gives an insight into the challenge the allied troops faced. Polygon wood cemetery to the side also well worth a visit. Ample off road parking available at the attached car park.
