These people are probably nice to their cats, but they get one star for being ATROCIOUS to the people who want to adopt. We are a family with 2 children, crazy to adopt a cat, with a secure place of our own in Brussels. Alas, we were not judged to be good enough to adopt a cat by mrs France. We were met from the start with suspicion; from the tens of cats they keep she could propose 3, which rapidly fell down to none, with various excuses. We declared interest in a particular cat, which was ill at the time. A week later we asked if the cat was OK and asked again to adopt it declaring flatly that we fell in love with her - we had bought already everything to make the house ready for her. We then received an incredibly insulting and condescending rejection email by mrs France, stating that \we had not answered her questions satisfactorily\ and that we might take the cat 1000s of km away to be mistreated - apparently because we go to our home country for holidays. She would not propose another cat for adoption; apparently we are not good for any of them. We should have read the other 1-star reviews of this place. They were right. We are not setting foot there again. Feel free to go, if you want to be belittled, scrutinized, ethnically profiled, judged and insulted. Now we are left with two very sad kids, and empty litter boxes and food plates for the cat that never was.

Horrible experience trying to adopt a kitten. We exchanged numerous emails with the host about our desire to adopt kitten, had to fill out a lengthy adoption form, waited a week to schedule an appointment. While we were the first to visit the kittens and had good chemistry, we were still not selected for the kittens. The host did not response to our text or email. We later found out that she decided to give the kittens to someone else who visited a few days after. It’s with good intention to find a home for the kittens. But the process is really slow, inefficient and extremely unfair. We recommend Help Animal, much better facility and friendly staff.
I adopted a cat named speedy there and tried to adopt from other catshelter. Catrescue ASBL is 100% the best in bruxelles so I recommend you to adopt there they will find the perfect cat fit for you :)
We adopted a cat here. Very dedicated and enthusiastic people there. Gave excellent and very thorough instructions. A very nice experience for us.
We were there today to adopt a cat into our warm home. When we asked why the cats weren't tested for cat aids, we received a rude answer. When we decided to adopt a cat we were refused by the manager who actually yelled at my son for saying something next to a cat. The manager has no manners and is holding over 300 cats without giving them a chance for a home by her bad attitude. A cat horder she should be called. Of the several shelters I have been this was the most dirty one, with cats in small cages. Strange how all the long haired cats are not able to be adopted while they are super friendly. In the end we decided to take a cat from another shelter and we will give it lots of love. Too bad for all the cats in her hands that deserve the same.... poor cats...
