SV Zulte Waregem was founded 2001after the former club who played there (KSV Waregem) went bankrupt. The remains of the club were saved by joining forces with lower ranked club Zulte (which is actually a small town in Oost-Vlaanderen, at a distance of 10 km from the stadion). Nowadays the stadion is being adapted to more modern standards. Home support (which calls itself \de boeren\) is making large efforts to create some athmosphere but still without succes on all the terraces. The new colours of the club (red-green-white)and a large financial injection made the team flourish in Belgian Pro-league during the last 10 years. Home matches against regional rivals KV Kortrijk and Club Brugge are the better events. Catering is acceptable and correct towards visiting supporters. Safety for visitors is not always garanteed by local police.
