Ancient beauty. Classical Gothic. Holy space in the center of the city. Stones that telling the truth.

Like all churches in Antwerp, overshadowed by the monumental cathedral, but a magnificent Baroque temple in its own right. Said to be the parish church where Rubens went to and where his children were baptized, but do not expect any of his works here. The bulding is very well maintained, with some though provoking modem artwork scattered around. The absloute eyecatcher is the massive wooden pulpit on the right of the altar. A 19th century masterpiece of carpentry, shows a beautiful scene from the life of the church's patron, seamlessly composed around the supporting pillar. Another highlight, that a regular church goer will appreciate is the chapel on the left of the altar is converted into a kiddy play corner, complete with a children's bibles and cooling books with Bible screens. Very thoughtful of those who run this place. A very welcoming temple and worth the visit.
Go and discover this church, one if the 5 main churches of Antwerp, and probably the most inspirung
