To start with the positives - the service was very attentive and welcoming and the little details around the table - olive oil, bread etc. were just right. I just feel however that there is something missing with the cuissine. The dishes all look appealing and my expectation was heightened but I thought the taste was a bit bland. I am in any case not one for big punchy flavours, but the taste was all a bit samey and I was missing both a lot of personality and the memory of the way I remembered the same things tasting like in the places I love in Portugal. In other words, an ok meal but slightly dissapointing compared to what I expected. Also the prices are certainly on the expensive side, especially for the size of the portions.

A fantastic Portuguese corner in Brussels! The octopus and green wine were perfect and the spirit of the north and friendliness in the service completed the experience!
Great cosy place. The food is amazing. The staff is very friendly and helpful and will help you with the menu and even give recommendations based on your taste. I bet everything in the menu is delicious. At least what we tried was great. A bit on the pricey side but totally worth it. Really recommended.

It is a new Portuguese Restaurant in the neighborhood (opened two years ago). Don Luis has limited but varied menus (from vegetarian, sea food, meat, etc) so it is convenient for everyone's taste. The cuisine is exceptionally good, it has contemporary look with traces of Portuguese traditional taste. It is one of the restaurant that I will highly recommended to families, friends and colleagues. I will definitely recommend their grilled octopus.

The service was spotless from the start - I'm Portuguese and my girlfriend is Belgian. Though we both speak French, we communicate with each other in English. The waiter was kind enough to speak in up to 3 languages, which was hilarious! Either way, he was spotless, we felt incredibly welcomed and looked after. The food was really good, from the entrées to the dessert. It's a more taken care of approach to typically very ough\ Portuguese dishes. Nothing to add. Music and ambience is nice. Everything was nice!
