The only decent thing about this foyer européen is that it's clean. But everything else is horrrible. Awful beds, awful staff... and the neighborhood... Be really careful at night. One of the worst neighborhoods in Brussels.

Reading the other reviews I don't share their opinion. The staff is very friendly, the residence is modern and closed to metro , supermarket and well maintained. I stayed there this spring to attend a language school and did not had any problem of noise even if my windows were open at night due to hot weather. Sure it's not that cheap but the service (incl cleaning) and quality you get can't be beaten.Enjoy the stay!
Very bad neighborhood, the rooms are definitely overpriced. I was staying on the second floor as a trainee for 5 months. There is no sense of management at this place . A lot of times receptionists were kind of rude. Beds are childish you are not convenient in that place . I'm writing this review in order to let people know before they book something there . That would be helpful for me as well... There are cheaper and more decent places to stay on Brussels and that's for sure . It's nice to interact with other trainees etc but the place is not nice or well equipped at all. Very loud, whenever you were asking for a convenience they were telling you no . And once it's the last day you spend there they act like they don't know you. Totally rude.
You're getting a mixed bag here, some things like the 24h reception, the terrace, the fresh bed sheets every week or the access to other young interns are good. Then there's things you can live with, like the rather small beds (circa 190cm x 80cm), the sometimes unstable but fairly fast WiFi or the occasional disputes between the residents (there will always be people that just aren't made for communal life). The location is fine, but it's by no means a nice neighborhood. And then there's things that are just straight up bad. Here we're talking about questionable security and privacy policies, e.g. i literally just walked up to the reception and asked for a key card to a room and they just gave me one without asking for my name or ID. The street in front of the house is really loud at night - there's no shortage of people revving their engines at 3am. For some reason the foyer's administration decided, presumably because the hostel was booked out, to house around 8 Italian teenage girls on our floor. They were very inconsiderate and loud and it took many days of mails and in-person complaints to the administration until that changed. In my opinion this was a rather blatant breach of contract as the Foyer was said to only house trainees and interns. We didn't get compensation. And then there's the price: You're not paying for the room here, you're paying for convenience and amenities. If that's worth it for you, go for it, but just know you are getting a 350-400 room for 630 - that's the price of convenience. Oh - and Frank's a pretty nice guy, but he will tell you that the room he's offering is the last room available. He did it to everyone i asked but there were several other rooms available. Cheeky ;)
The hall that you can rent here is great.
horrible neighborhood, you can hear everything through the walls, apartments are overpriced. 1/5 DON'T COME HERE. YOU CAN GET A BETTER DEAL ELSEWHERE IN BRUSSEL.
Terrible neighborhood
A little expensive but they provide everything you need
