Incredibly incompetent people. I had to renew a passport to take a flight to Africa. They gave me the new passport. I thought everything was ok, then 1 hour before my flight they called me to say that they made a mistake with my passport and I had to come back to the municipality as soon as possible. Almost missed my flight because of them.

Quite surprised to see this place in Brussels after living here for almost 2 years. We came across this building while biking around Brussels. Amazing architecture compared to other communes in Brussels. Just dunno how the staff working inside though as the area is quite mixed race. Will drop by again maybe in summer time.

Another interesting find on my wanderings through town. Didn't stay but pretty building in a good neighborhood. Looked like lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Was perfectly safe walking here from grand place. Check it out and see what you can discover in the area

The commune of St. Gilles is responsible for all local administrative services like ID cards, and drivers licenses, and offers a variety of sports and community services. It is possibly the best functioning commune in Brussels, and one of the many great perks of living in St. Gilles. They have recently modernized their queue ticketing system to make services more efficient, and walk-in wait times are generally significantly less than one hour. Appointments are also available for certain services. You may even catch a newlywed couple taking their wedding photos on the beautiful staircase inside the building. The building itself is a lovely architectural artifact, and worth seeing if you are touring the neighborhood. If you’re looking for a drink or snack nearby, try the Rubis wine bar next door, Café La Biche, or Café La Pompe.
