One of the better Chinese food options in Ostend. I've visited China myself so I'm well aware how authentic Chinese food is supposed to taste. Happy garden offers a fusion between authentic Chinese dishes but clearly with a western influence. Nevertheless it's well executed and this restaurant will appeal to a broad audience, even those not familiar with Chinese food. I highly recommend the Suen Lak spicy-sour soup which is quite close to the taste I remember from China. And if you're in for a spectacular show dish: order one of the Tip-Pan dishes with a choice of meat or fish. Tip-Pan is served sizzling hot and smokey, straight from the oven and the presentation is part of the show. Other guests will surely glance to what you've ordered. If you're looking for a bargain deal: come here for lunch and for around 10 EUR you can have an appetizer and a choice of different main dishes. For dinner it's about 12 EUR for the evening menu, so only slightly more expensive. Service is quite friendly and swift. The interior is spacious and clean, decorated in a Chinese somewhat kitschy style.

Terrible service. We've been there with 3 children, they complained because they \made too much noise\ (they were laughing). Not recommended, the food is not worth the price.

Yummy food. Big portions. Prices are the best I've seen in Oostende. Nice service. Just work a bit on your appearance e.g. working clothes (more professional), chipped plates. Fix that and you'll be the best Chinese restautant in Oostende! :)

Very poor and rude service. The food was just too salty/MSG and when asked to change it we were told NO as apparently everyone is getting the same :(
