This morning i ordered 2 breakfast pastry and a coffee and what i got was an extra 2 slices of cheese, butter and Jam. When i told the lady i only ordered pastry and coffee and i don't want the cheese, butter and jam, she told me in a very arrogant way, you have to take this whether you eat it or not. 9.50 euro please. Appalling! While shops are in general very friendly in Gent this one certainly stands out as the one to avoid for unacceptable commercial practices and rip off behaviour

The woman here seems to have an attitude problem and was the only person we met in Ghent who wasn't incredibly friendly. It's a shame because the products are excellent. By the way, we aren't teenagers - 60 year olds - and weren't dressed like backpackers!
Amazing chocolates. This little shop we saw recommended on an app of Ghent. We bought a small bag of mixed pralines and they were delicious. There is an incredible selection to choose from and they all look so pretty.
I should have given a zero for service but that was not option. I asked for a bag because as a tourist you have to walk around and you don't really want to carry it around in your hands. the server looked at me as if to say 'you are asking for a bag?' she then said no we only give bags if you buy more things. I was like really? She showed me a paper bag and said if you want you can buy it for 50 cent. I was thinking Even Primark gives brown paper bags for free. Then she suggested' you can put the box of eclair in your rucksack' which was already full and I didn't want to put it in there to crush the highly expensive eclaire. Then she goes this Belgium culture. Like seriously?
Belgian chocolate and pralines at its finest.
4 generation chocolatier that always serves premium quality of pralines. Quite pricey but you get what you pay. For example Belgian praline is made from premium hazelnut from Italy, butter from Luxembourg mixed with top quality almond from Spain, the result is perfection. And every single piece of chocolate is still handcraft.
They have a menu so you can sit down and enjoy the chocolate and various other desserts with a drink.
Nice chocolate, very expensive. Incredibly rude staff.
