We visited This place for the second time and is such a great restaurant and brewery. The first time it was the six of us and we had the Flemish Stew, fish and chips and several of the beers. It was all great. The next time it was just me and my husband and we opted for the Flemish stew again. It is such a good meal and I love the way the menu suggests a different beer for each meal! This is a must visit for anyone passing by!

We went only to the restaurant, the food is really good and delicious. I do feel the portions were a bit too much but that may be due to the large number of tourists that visit. Overall, a good restaurant.
Take a guided tour of the facility of the brewery of het Anker. You learn about the history of the place and the brewing process. The brewery also has a distillery a little outside of the city where they distill local whisky, which is surprisingly tasty. End the tour with a tasting of 2 of the beers.
Very nice brewery with amazing beers and wonderful food. Absolutely a place you must visit. Try there restaurant which is next to the brewery.
We first visited Brouwerij Het Anker about 20 years ago. The beer quality has remained consistently good but the brewery, brasserie and hotel have steadily evolved and have tastefully improved over time. The heritage and traditions remain but the brand has moved with the times.
Very nice tour, a good explanation of brewing process and beer is delicious! One star minus because we also bought tour to whiskey distillery and we were waiting a half an hour for shuttle bus and nobody told us that it was cancelled. But still worth it.
A fun activity in Mechelen. The tour takes around an hour, and then you can enjoy a couple free beers at the end. It’s not as extensive or interactive a tour as De Koninck, for example, but still interesting and informative. Plus, you get some great views of Mechelen. If you want to enjoy a beer in the brassiere afterwards, make sure to reserve a few days in advance for the weekend.
Great brewery with a nice brasserie. Awesome food to be tasted here. Try the porc ribs!
