As an immigrant to this small Belgian town, I have had to go to the City Hall quite a lot in the last few years. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They will gladly go out of their way to help their citizens with whatever problem there may be. I had some difficulty getting my paperwork from the US before my marriage last year and I count myself fortunate beyond belief that I live in a city filled with such understanding people. I'm fairly certain that the delays and frustrations would have made it next to impossible for the marriage to go ahead as planned in almost every other city. It is surprising to see the number of community programs run by this small village's city hall. They are working hard to improve every single aspect of their citizens lives.
