I have attended the lessons given by Alexios Lizos for a year, during my stay in Belgium. With my 34 years, I decided to start learning Piano, and I think I couldn't have taken a better decision than starting with Alexios. I can honestly say I learned a lot, despite my age, and what is more important, I had a lot of fun. I doubted whether I would stick to the piano due to my late start, but now, after this nice start with Alexios, I really feel like continuing and enjoying the piano. He has really motivated me and made me enjoy with that art. Highly recommendable, really.
I would really recommend Alex as a teacher. I have been following his classes for a year now and he manages to keep you motivated by continually providing well-chosen challenges. He adapts his teaching method dependent on the student and his/her interest and quickly notices what helps you understand a certain piece or what may be hindering your fluency. I believe that this personalised approach is very effective and will result in faster improvement over time. What I appreciate most is that he shows sincere interest in your questions. He always tries to understand your point of view and uses his understanding of it in his explanation. His passion for music is clearly present; interesting information concerning the build-up of pieces, famous composers and certain techniques is effortlessly woven throughout the lectures with practical examples. This allows for spontaneous learning-moments to arise. Lastly, Alex is very sociable; he makes you feel at ease and there are many moments of laughter during the classes.
Bij Pianoles Leuven krijg je pianolessen die niet alleen enorm leerrijk, maar ook fantastisch leuk zijn. Alex weet perfect uit te leggen waar je op moet letten zodat je exact weet hoe te oefenen. Hij doet er dan ook alles aan om de boodschap duidelijk over te brengen. Dit gekoppeld aan de nodige luchtigheid en humor zorgt er voor dat een uur voorbij is voor je het beseft!
