Too bad much has been lost to history but the climb is well worth the view on the city of Leuven. With a little imagination you can see how the Burgundian dukes of Brabant watched the town hall rise in the distance over half a millennium ago.

The abbey and its park/garden, is located on top of the Keizersberg, on the north side of Leuven. Relatively quiet (probably because it's not so easy to get to), you could definitely have a picnic and kick the football around here. You can also get a unique view of Leuven from the park.
Nice place. Very quiet and good view of the city. Perfect to relax and take some good pictures.

Beautiful medieval century Abbey with beautiful park
A beautiful abbey with an amazing garden. Ideal for a walk or even a picnic. The fences take away a bit of the feeling and it doesn't seem to be taken care of that well (e.g. very long grass, trash), which is a bit disappointing.
