Magnificent building but it's under renovation.

Great view to Brussels City...
Very impressive building. It dominates the top of the hill in connection with the original design of the city of Brussels in which the three hills delimit the city with characteristic buildings in each of them.
Such an impressive old building, pity that we cannot see the inside of it.
The most important court of law in Belgium, this building isn’t much to look at from the outside because of the ongoing renovation works. It’s free to enter and it’s really here that you can see the building is heavily influenced by Neoclassical and almost temple like by the sheer number of columns and sculptures. Many of the sculptures such as Demosthenes, Lycurgus, Cicero and Ulpian, jurists and lawgivers of antiquity allude to the legal nature of the building. It’s just a shame the renovation is slow painstakingly slow, but it’s still a fantastic building to visit and free to enter as well. One thing to note if walking there. If approaching from downhill from north of the Palace e.g. Rue Notre Dame De Gráces, there a lift you can take up instead of having to walk up. One of the most monumental buildings in Bruxelles. The building operates as a Palace of Justice.
Visited on a Monday morning. The courts are accessible to tourists even while cases are being heard. The building is monumental and is presently being refurbished internally and externally. The central hall is beautiful and around its edges are large wooden tables and benches lit by a single lamp. A grand and eye catching sight within the Sablon neighbourhood.
Impress size of the building. It has some old Paris-like look. The place is huge, the front square is big with nice monument. The central hall is exelent but the building was under reconstruction when we visited so I assume now it looks much better. Visit is free. The panoramic view is nice as well. A must when comes to Bruseles.
