The owner is really nice and a good host. She made all guests feel welcomed in a way that felt like we where some far away relatives visiting. The room was well presented, clean and spacious. The building was a remodeled barn or farm house, and so the room had a few remnants of the old structure mixed in it, giving it a rustic and cosy touch. I really like it. But my only bad remark was the food. There was no other options but one plate for dinner and breakfast. And beaches I have some food allergies and the B&B is literally in the middle is nowhere, only farm house around it. I kind of starved a bit while there. But other than that I recommend it. Has a weekend escape it's perfect!

It's verry nice!
Ok, but in my opinion 4 stars is to much.
Grear B&B.Lovely place and great people.worth the visit!
We booked to stay at this B&B but needed to change our arrival date. We tried to do this months in advance but the owner would not reply or respond. we went back to Booking.com who also told us they are not getting a reply. When we did get through to the woman she told us to go through booking.com. The communication from this establishment was beyond appalling. We lost our money due to it being to late to cancel but had this woman got back to us we would not have lost it. Warning to anyone booking with this establishment. YOU WILL NEVER HEAR BACK FROM HER!! She deliberately ignores you and marks you down a s a no show. AVOID!!! AVOID!!! AVOID!!!
I spent two great days at this farm. Its quite, with a traditionnel beauty in refer to the architecture of the farm and nature. I loved the horses and the hospitality of Danielle (owner). She is always present, funny and helpful.
Looked at the reviews....too late. Booked one month ago, checked on Thursday by phone: all ok. Arrive on Friday 5pm: sorry we are overbooked. The excuses received look really poor in the light of the other reviews. From the vans on the parking, it would appear that the place got specialised for workers from eastern countries to whom priority is probably given as long term clients. Very nice alternative selected last minute in France 30km away. Never again!
That this our 5th horse riding weekend ( 3 other weekends without horses) at Ferme Chateau de Laneffe speaks for itself. The farm itself is a beautifully renovated working farm which explains why the owner, Danielle, is not always behind the reception desk and asks guests to respect arrival times, but it is easy enough to contact her and she is always willing to help solve problems and give advice. The horses have access to large paddocks and in case of bad weather large stalls are available. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable while retaining original features. The breakfast was adequate for a days riding! The area directly around Laneffe provides great riding/walking/cycling routes. For the more adventurous riders there are waymarked walks leaving from Montbliart 25km/Sautin 18km & 25km/Grandrieu 12km all of which are a /- 25 minute drive. Along the N5 (10 minutes by car) there are all the supermarkets one could imagine for forgotten items and a small village supermarket within a 10 minute walk. If one wishes to eat in a local restaurant we can recommend La Vache Rouge, Rue de Charleroi 3, 5650 Yves-Gomezée also a 10 minute drive. If one is looking for a hotel with 24h reception, sterile rooms and nameless staff then Laneffe is not for you, but for a warm, family run bed and breakfast then Laneffe is to be recommended.
