InnovaWood is a European network based in Brussels, which unites 55 research and technology organizations in 27 European countries and overseas. Since its foundation in 2001, it represents a common voice for research, innovation and education in the field of wood science and technology. Our goal is to foster European collaboration among our member organizations, raise the visibility of wood innovations and thus strengthen the competitive development of the European forest-based sector. The network includes leading technology institutes (RTOs), universities, professional schools and cluster organisations in the entire value chain from forestry and wood processing to construction, furniture and biorefinery. Through its communication and dissemination activities, InnovaWood promotes wider impacts from innovative uses of wood, Europe’s main abundant renewable raw material, in line with the major policies of the European Union.
