Tourists shop and information point. Not only for the Lakenhall, but also for the Ieper area. Books, maps, memorials and souvenirs, they all have it, but an informational chat is possible as well.

Beautiful buildings the inside is a information centre cafe there are many books gifts,cards you can also buy tickets for the Flanders museum which is just a short walk out side

When I checked in Old Tom Hotel the person who checked me in told me that the market was not on that Saturday morning and my car was fine parked in the market until 9am the next day. My car was towed at 3am 200 later and after enduring a very rude tow truck driver, I retrieved my rental car. The next morning I complained about my unfortunate experience to the tourist office. The lady at the desk confirmed that the town's website did in fact said that the market was not on that Saturday and that I should complain to the Mayor. 15 minutes later the lady from the tourist office tracked me down in the Flanders Museum and very loudly explained that what she had said earlier was not true and it was all the hotels fault. Avoid Ypres at all costs it's all about fleecing the gullible tourists.
