A quiet September Tuesday evening, guest at only 4 other tables. On street parking right in front of the restaurant. Attentive and intelligent service. We spent 72 Euro a head for 3 courses, sparkling water and a decent Italian wine. Limited but sensible wine list (French & Italian only). Reasonably wide choice of food served with creativity and in fair quantity as is common in Belgium. Autumn menu - for starter we sampled the poached egg in mushroom veloute, and the celeriac avioli\ and both declared these to be the best started we'd had in a week of Belgian fine dining. (nb. The ravioli \pasta\ was in fact just thinly sliced celeriac - most creative use of the ugly vegetable I've ever seen. Quite amazing and extremely tasty). Main course we both had the duck breast - good, well cooked, and tasty - quite a strong sauce which is fairly common with duck. Pudding - I had the chocolate which was awesome, and my partner the panacotta - also good. Probably the only downside was the jazz covers of old beatles songs. I'd have liked a bit of variety instead of one CD on repeat! We'd definitely recommend this one.
