Nice place on the market square , it has a belgium style grand cafe cuisine. I had a greek salade, and a house specialty pasta with spicy gratin. All was freshly made good ingredients. Service was friendly good price quality ratio. One of the better places to eat on this market square.

Nice food, great beer & amazing service
Was in Hasselt for work, i always liked this city from before. I decided to visit this restaurant today, my biggest mistake: 1. I waited around 15-20 min before someone asked me anything 2. I said i don’t speak Flemish and ordered water, as i speak german i could make up things in the menu, for food i told the waiter (very rude person) that i will show in the menu and he interrupted me saying “ ah you haven’t...” and middle of his own sentence turned and left and went to take other visitors orders, in a matter of: what do you want, ok bye. To me the way i was treated was the rudest i ever was treated in such a situation. 3. Food arrived, was ok, nothing special. 4.As that same waiter was carrying away salt and pepper holders from another table back, he threw! A salt holder and a pepper holder (not placing them on the table as any human would do), just a drop while he is walking on his way to the kitchen. Of course the holders fell awkwardly and i picked them up. 5. For the cheque, i asked to pay by card and he simply got the machine and left it on my table...15 min later he comes back and realizes i have no invoice to pay, i get the invoice and he just leaves me to manage this, then places the order and again leaves me with the clear instructions “once it prints the paper it’s ok”, while he gets orders from other visitors. All in all i would NEVER go there again and i don’t recommend it, this is not unfriendly, this is just plain rude, there are many nice places and people in Belgium so there is no need for this. I just saw the reviews and i see many people also complain about a certain waiter, maybe it is the same. This area and Hasselt in general have a lot of restaurants to eat in, just avoid this one!!! P.S also a lot of flying bees and insects there, dunno from just the weather in that time or something else!
