The worst experience of my life, i had to change train from Leuven to Genk in Hasselt, as soon as we got out the 1st train we tried to go to the 2nd with a baby buggy, electric stairs out of order, no lift in sight, we had to carry the buggy upstairs very dangerously and when we reached the train, they just closed the doors, we asked them to let us in but the guy said nop, u should have been here earlier when he clearly could have if he wanted and saw us running b4 he closed them, ww had to w8 almost 1 hour for a bus after that overall an awful experience, avoid Belgian public transport when u can, especially special needs people and people with babys.

An old station with not much facilities. Has a Panos and couple of other shops outside the station. DeLijn bus station just outside.

They need to improve the facilities such as restrooms and waiting area.

Old fashioned. Restroom available but they charge money. I believe the escalators are just for decoration, I don't think they ever worked.

The station itself is a really nice throw-back in terms of 1950s/60s architecture and it has a small cafeteria that is a nice place to grab a broodje or coffee while waiting. The platforms could use a little help in terms of accessibility (I don't think there is a lift, for instance) but it is always well-kept, clean, well-lit and feels safe. The station area on the city-side is a little dodgy as night falls but the residential side where I live (Runkst) is great!

Good train station but old-fashioned. They don't have TV screens at the platform, so you have to pay attention and listen to the speakers.
