I bought 4 switches, and 1 switch registered more than 11 Kilowatts without a connected user. After sending this switch back, it takes already more than a week to find this problem, no resolution ,no feedback or no proporsion for resolue this problem. Thats no proffesional working! smappee do better! please! Still waiting for the new switch....nope Strangely, if I order a new switch, it is already delivered the next day and now it will take already /- a month before sending a warranty item.. This problem is already exist from 2 November to exchange an ordinary switch. I am very disappointed how Smappee take care of their customers. I expected better from a company that would go international.... Regards, Eric De Metter
I strongly recommend avoiding this company. I had a Smappee Energy Monitor that never worked properly from the start. Without any way to manually update the firmware (the device only connects wirelessly), their support team tried to initiate a firmware upgrade remotely. This failed and now the device is bricked. As it was just out of warranty the only solution they offered was to purchase a new one at full retail with a rediculous shipping cost.

I was going to purchase a monitor, unfortunately or actually lucky I'm as just realised that company does no longer talks or wants to listen to customer. Turned into "big business" mode waaay too early. From promoting simple installation (DIY install) now wants you to pay for installing (attaching sensor clip to the cable), you no longer can buy online, but rather from local dealers only (which distances smappee even further from their customer). I've asked if smappee is going out of business, they (smappee customer support) answered that they are not, however there is every sign that they actually do, but won't tell you until too late. Just to prove my point I've tried to contact them with purchasing and advice enquiry twice, no response. I am not recommending this company.
