I and a group of friends were looking for a cafe bar yesterday around the area when we passed by this cafe bar. The song that was being played at the cafe when we were passing by happened to be the song that we like so we decided to have our drinks there. The decision factor to try the cafe was the song, but the decision factor to go back there next time would have to be their friendliest and accommodating staff by the name MILAN. Add up to that are the fast service, good location, tasty tapas, nice drinks and cool ambiance.
Great service, all the staff were very friendly and all knew how to speak English well. The food was very good as well, we had the traditional Flemish beef stew, and mussels. They also have a great selection of Belgian beer. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommended
Average restaurant but great service. The regular mussels I had was too salty...a bit disappointed. A 500 ml-bottle of plain water was 5.5 euros, more expensive than beer. They have a larger than usual toilet for women in all the restaurants I've been to so far. Regular mussels with fries were 21 euros. Gratuities are included in the price thought there is no clear indication the percentage. Vol-au-vent ( chicken on pastry shell) and mixed snack plate with cheese n salami (11.50 euros).
Excellent Belgian food- House specialty was the stew which my spouse loved, but I had a massive pot of mussels that was well worth the price. Kids loved the spaghetti bolognese and veggie lasagna.
Our favorite Bistro on our 5 day trip to Brussels. Best mussels ever and thanks to our waiter for guiding us to the garlic and cream version. The meat balls and flemish stew get high marks as well. The Grimbergen bruin beer was a favorite. I describe it as a tasty beer you can sink your teeth into. Highly recommended.
Staff were really friendly and you can try all the traditional Belgian dishes. Portions are huge but save room for the lovely desserts. Worth seeking out for the beer as well.
We've ordered a few main plates, a dessert, a beer, and a few glasses of cava. Prices were quite moderate in comparison with the other places near the Fish Market. Food was cooked and served in a proper way. Chocolate cake with a hot chocolate and ice cream was terrific. One of the best ones we've ever tried. We've also experienced a good service. Nice Cafe for a lunch, late dinner, or just some drinks.
