Having lived here for a year as an international student, I would like to say that the management at XIOR is very competent. If you have any problems in your room/with your keys, they really try to help you as fast as possible. The student coach Maarten, is a very helpful and friendly guy and always makes sure that the students are safe and comfortable. The same goes for the office management (Michiel and Margot). Although, I feel that their rooms are a bit on the expensive side, but overall my stay here has been quite comfortable (especially during the corona lockdown time) and I was quite happy to see how the things were handled smoothly by the management! So if you're an international student (first time abroad) and looking for a room to stay, then I would recommend XIOR! Although, you have to be able to make friends with the people on your floor (which might be a HUGE AND CUMBERSOME task to accomplish!!)

I stayed this summer in Xior as an international student and my experience it's been far better than expected. The facilities are *really* good and new as well as the cleaning service. Maybe the only thing I would point out is that the internet connection didn't work that well always. Also the ubication is super nice: close to Sint-Pieter's station and the center. As an international-temporal student I would recommend staying in here as the comfy-shared common spaces with other mainly local students will probably ensure your sociability needs.
Very modern and cleaned residence. Michiel, the office manager helped in every problem I had and solved it immediately. Very happy to have chosen Xior for my Erasmus experience, would do it again!
Moderne studentenkoten op een top locatie. Aangename administratie en permanentie voorzien. Permanentie onder de vorm van een studentencoach die dagelijks bezig is met verbeteringen aan de ervaring op kot. Problemen worden snel opgenomen en opgelost. Aanrader om op kot te gaan \zonder zorgen\.
Er moet nog opgeruimd worden. Toxische vibes... Niet aangenaam voor gevoelige en prikkelbare mensen.
Zowel Michiel alsook Maarten zijn 2 gedreven en professionele managers die de hele organisatie steeds in goede banen leiden. Je kan op hen rekenen wanneer het nodig is. Ze staan er in tijden van nood. Ook de kamers, badkamers, keuken en living zijn tiptop in orde. Afgewerkt met degelijke en duurzame materialen. Een echte aanrader wie overweegt in Gent te verblijven!!
