An excellent art hall in the centre of Ghent. The Kunsthal is a former Carmelite monastery behind the \Patershol\. The Kunsthal has a changing series of exhibitions of contemporary art in a beautiful and remarkable church building. The arts are multimedia (sculptures, prints, canvas, installations, video...). At the time of our visit it featured among others Aline Bouvy, Bram De Jonghe, Martin Belou, Jesse Jones, Prem Krishnamurthy, Mark Grootes & Emma Van den Broeck, Thomas Min & Egon Van Herreweghe, and Charlotte Stuby. Olivier Goethals made more permanent infrastructural art work creating a second level in the church hall. Definitely worth a visit if you like contemporary art.

Well, the place is ok, the former church became a place of art. But the art is too modern for me. That's subjective. If you like to visit completely strange modern art, be sure to plan your visit to here. Exhibitions change often it often the entrance is free.
It's a very big museum in Gent. It has paintings of how people were living in Belgium some hundreds of years ago. They have even good audio system where one can plug in a headset and listen to explanation on how life was in Gent, the Flemish region and Belgium in general.
Very nice Museum, see You next Year at our own Exhibition in Spring.
Beautiful building: a old Covent. I've seen a fantastic exhibition about the Flemish golden age. Looks like they have many exhibitions all year round.
Nice historic place that regularly hosts special exhibits.
