I can’t describe the friendliness of this place they will treat you like family. My first year of Gent I tried different sushi places tomeet my itsu flavours in London but wow! Ikura Sushi surprised me with excellent mouth watering flavours they stole my heart with every bite. The customer service is excellent Not just once but every time I makes an order they stay the same that’s me counting I never encountered any dull order with them .they deserve more than 5 stars to be honest. Great management. Great customer service, anyone asks where is the best sushi place in Gent I will scream IKURA!! I had made a reservation for 18:30, but it was raining and we arrived early, the restaurant luckily could accommodate us with out any problem which was very nice in and of itself. We ordered two miso soups which were delicious, and then the 50 piece Ikura Bridge platter. This option provided a wide variety of sushi which were all very nice. The service was also quite pleasant, as we were eating at quite a slow pace, but were never rushed to quickly finish and move on to the next dish. At one point during the evening the power cut off, and the place went dark, but thanks to the lit candles it suddenly provided a very cozy atmosphere. This only lasted for about a minute, as the power issue was fixed quite quickly. Overall considering the price, atmosphere, service and actual taste of the items we had, I'd definitely recommend you visit this establishment if you have the time.
Had rice with Shrimps, they brought very big plate of rice with vegetables with literally three big Shrimps in it. The Cherry beer was good and tasty. Liked it. The place is in easy access from city center. No other option for dessert except ice cream.
It was delicious !! I am a fan of classic sushi, and to be honest nothing I tried here was a classic, but was really delicious, filled with flavours and textures that you wouldn't really find in sushi. The host was also super nice. Recommend!
Great sushi offerings. A varied selection at a decent price. The patio seating is great for people-watching.

For fine diners and sushi lovers this is a good place to be, the downside ofcourse is that sushi is expensive and takes a bit of time to make, but it's defenetly worth the wait
