shop owner assured us we were getting a receipt that could be used with the global blue tax refund. We questioned what he gave us (pretty much nothing) and came back to the store a second time. He assured us again everything was in order. As suspected, once we got to the airport they told us it was not a proper receipt, and we regretted paying him cash. Seems like he was more interested in not paying taxes himself, rather than helping us out.
Very arrogant and rude man. I first went to another store looking for a watch. They don’t have it and told me to come to this store. I just went inside and showed the picture and asked whether they have. He replied ‘what is the chance do you think that you got a picture from the internet amongst thousands of pictures?’ with exaggerated gestures. I told him that but I said it is from Swatch. He said ‘have you looked the window? Swatch is done!!’ I am really confused since it is the first time I’ve been treated like this as a customer in Gent for 5 years. Don’t I have the right to ask whether the seller have a product? I really felt bad and felt I should defend my right. And I went back to ask why I was treated in such a rude way. And this impolite man didn’t let me enter and asked me to go away...Using one of my worst shopping experience just want to say that you’d better to rethink if you don’t want to be insulted, especially you are not local.
Klantonvriendelijk, erg racistisch. I went to change the battery in my watch. Got a free lesson from the manager on how I should speak \Flemish\ if I live in Belgium. I would happily pay double to an Arab store owner than ever have to deal with this man again.
