Went here with 5 of my friends to enjoy some of the nightlife in Gent. We came here around 23.30 and people were already dancing and crowding the dancefloor. Entrance was 3 euros. The DJ was decent playing house music. Around 1 o clock another room was openend where people can dance really on top of each other, on R&B/hiphop music.

The place is nice, cosy and huge, there is enough space for dancing or just sitting with friends, having a nice beer. Had a wonderful time there! Highly recommend.
Nice party place in Ghent but one of the bouncer at the gate needs to behave properly. He asked me some rude questions very inappropriately and checked my ID even after paying. I have never been asked such things in a club before may be my foreign origin was the reason.
Going to Charlatan since 18 years, when there is a concert I want to see. Very nice place with multiple rooms and outdoor patio when the weather allows it. They organise parties mostly attracting students, but also some gigs. There is a very practical lockers room - recommended because it can get quite crowded.
Great place for a party. Friendly staff, never too crowded.
A nice place to dance with a cool atmosphere, but they CHARGE FOR THE TOILETS!!!!! Even though you pay for the entrance and drinks!

The charlatan is kind of famous in Ghent. But it's not really that special. It's just a random dancing. Nice place but not really special. Bouncers could be more friendly.
