Belgian Whisky distillery \The Owl\ can be visited. The guide tells the story of the production with passion and knowledge. At the end of the tour their craft can be tasted . Surprisingly fine smooth and fruity whisky. Shop where you can buy their products. I had a very nice afternoon in this distillery.

Although it is slightly far from Brussels we were eager to go after reading the reviews, albeit there are no recent ones!! Arrival: met by a charming lady who explained to us how the day was going to be. First part: you are told that you are going to take a walk which is fair enough though we ended up in the middle of a field! It was cold and rainy (typical Belgian weather) but I didn't quite catch the point of standing outside for no obvious reason! Second part: you don't really visit the distillery, only certain areas (no barrels to be seen and only machinery so what is the point in going to a distillery if you don't see it actually functioning, truly a shame. It ended with a tasting of 2 basic whiskies and if you want to taste more interesting ones, it is at your own expense of 2 a glass for not even 1cl. Super disappointing! For serious whiskey lovers, we agreed that this was a waste of our time and money so we would suggest you don’t come here, it's a rip off.
Good place to visit if you love whisky. The guided tour took 2hours and was really nice. You may prove 2 whisky there during your guided tour (A little bit disappointing for someone who would like to compare some of them). We had lucky that we could taste 4 of them. Interesting whisky made 100%in Belgium and 100%based on local products.
60 for 0.5 L aged 3 years, isn't it a bit over the top? I believe that 20 for a guided tour is overpriced, full stop!

Een uitermate leuke ervaring als je een whiskyavontuur wilt beleven. Een leuke rondleiding gevolgd begonnen in de velden en geëindigd bij een dubbele tasting. Leuke rondleiding, informatief en vermakelijk. Veel kennis en passie aanwezig. Ook na de proeverij een brede range aan whisky's van The Owl te proeven, top! Ondanks al meerdere distilleerderijen bezocht, toch weer nieuwe dingen gehoord!
