The one Schindler-lift we have broke down almost three months ago. After 5 interventions, it is still not in working order. When you work with people who need a wheeling chair, this is highly uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend them, though I must admit some people at Schindler really try to make it work. In spite of all the efforts of these people, the quality of the service is lacking... as far as I can tell.

A company you'd be wise to avoid. Lifts break down all the time, repairs take forever, and renovations are carried out with inferior material. If you're lucky, Schindler's lifts may take you where you want to go in the most direct manner. If you're unlucky, they never come, don't start, take an enormous detour, or stop between floors. This happens fairly regularly. Because I'm now fed up with them, I have started taking the stairs as much as I can, although my apartment is on the eleventh floor. I guess it's good for my health.
Most of the time only 1/2 elevator working. Very bad maintenance , no responsible repair. Send emails but never answer until sending the claim to all email addresses on their website. But the answer is still NO, WE CANNOT HELP. Extremely disappointed, recommend to avoid..
Total disaster!!! I live in a building operated by Schindler Belgium and out of 6 elevators typically only 3-4 remain in operational state on a daily basis. Repairs take forever. The reason the lifts break is a bad design of the internal door system that was added a couple of years ago (again by Schindler). The company has a monopoly and if we would like to go to someone else, we need to change the complete lift systems.
Most of the time only 1/3 elevators working. 'repaired' for a few hours each time...
We have three lifts in our building which are constantly broken.

On a toujours une personne différente au téléphone, qui dit qu'ils vont venir dépanner et puis... on attend, on attend des jours, des semaines parfois si \la pièce n'est pas en stock\. Personne chez eux, en tout cas, ne semble se sentir engagé ou responsable. Parfois même un soi-disant \dépannage\ où la seule personne qui a pu se servir de l'ascenseur après l'intervention est le technicien, pour quitter les lieux! Une vraie honte!
