This was the prettiest cathedral in Brussels and also the largest. It has a grand interior and there's enough space to sit. Probably cause not a lot of people visit it like in Paris Notre Dame. I've attended the evening services and it doesn't last for hours so I was very happy.

One nice and peaceful place to visit, echoed my wish, partly. Hope I’ll have another chance to let it justify and give it my sincere 5 stars.

This spectacular Gothic cathedral dates back to the 14th Century when it was used as a chapel by the Archer’s Guild. It was extensively expanded in the next century to the popularity and supposed healing powers of the Madonna statue located within. The statue was allegedly stolen by a husband and wife team of thieves in a rowing boat. The location of the statue is unknown but the story is commemorated by a life-size model inside the building.

The Church of Our Blessed Lady of the Sablon is a church that must have one of the finest collections of stained glass windows in all the churches of Brussels. The church is slightly unusual in have equally stunning stained glass windows on two levels. Much of the subject matter is saints and medieval rulers of Northern Europe. The exterior and much of the interior is clearly gothic, but it does have two beautiful Baroque chapels on either side of the high altar. One chapel is dedicated to Saint Ursula and the other to Saint Marcouf, both of which are decorated with superbly ornate sculptures and beautifully translucent white marbles. In my humble opinion, this church should be on any itinerary for Brussels.

I love this place!️ Such a nice and cozy site. There is a beautiful fountain and few statues surrounding the site from both sides. There are benches there as well, so you can take a sit and contemplate a bit

This was really an amazing cathedral, right there in the centre of Brussels. Considering that we weren't looking for for it, it was an amazing find. Very ornate and extremely well detailed. This house of worship is definitely worth your time.
