I have been taking French lessons on my own for quite a few years and felt I was not making any serious progress so, I decided to go online and search for a French teacher and I came across, The Classic French Academy. I signed up and took the trial course and felt it was what I was looking for. I added on a lesson and took off from there. Gil is the French teacher and I have to say he was very polite and easy going. I would highly recommend The Classic French Academy. One of the fundamentals that I missed out on was French Pronunciation and Gil went back to the basics with me and helped me with this missing link in my French learning once I was up to speed we were chatting in French and learning new material. I look forward to continuing my Classic French Academy studies with Gil in the near future. Gil has designed a course that is at once scientific and practical and it's process made the French language work for me. I started learning French with Gil's Classic French Academy as an almost beginner - I had done some French previously. What I really like about Gil's approach is that he starts teaching with the pronunciation of the different sounds in the French language, which is so important to this language. Gil made me realise how fundamental sounds are to the correct speaking of French and understanding it correctly. I am now really in tuned in the sounds and can therefore understand the words better and learn the language quicker. It's a brilliant method! I highly recommend Gil as a teacher - it's so clear that he has put a lot of effort and thought into his academy and methodology. I am really impressed and happy to have found someone with this kind of care for language learning. Gil is very proud of what he does and how he does it, and quite rightly so!
