Without a doubt it's one of the best places you can stay as a tenant! The house(s) are really great furnished and you have all that you need to feel comfortable. Fred is a truly a great guy, I've yet to come across such a cool landlord. He was always there if you need something taken care of in the house and fair towards everyone! The general atmosphere is quite nice and all the people living there are open-minded and respectful of each other.

The Schuman House is the entire package. The house has the nicest landlord around, who is quick to respond and problems are handled promptly. In the summer, the garden in the back is an oasis to eat breakfast and just sit outside and enjoy the quiet. The location cannot be beat, with two metro stations within walking distance. Parc Cinquantenaire is around the corner. Many restaurants everywhere, with two grocery store chains in the vicinity. Not to forget that it is very close to the European Institutions. Honestly, living here was the dream. You get to experience Brussels while having a nice clean roof over your head. Thanks, Fred!
I truly recommend this place. I stayed at the Schuman House almost 2 months this summer and the place was perfect (a big kitchen, a nice furnished room with a double bed, a cosy backyard, cleaning service every week, a big bathroom, and so on). The location was perfect, in a good neighbourhood next to different public transports and the Parc du Cinquantenaire (a wonderful park by the way). Big plus : only 5 minutes away from the European Commission by metro. Needless to say that the house owner, Fred, is a really helpful person really caring and always there if you need him. As I couldn't visit the place before, he video called me and showed me around : once there, not a bad surprise, everything was as I expected and as showed. It was a pleasure to meet him. Finally, if you are new in Brussels and you don't know anyone it is a perfect place to stay as you share the house with 3 roommates.
This intern residence deserves without a doubt 5 stars, as every single aspect of it was great. My room (and the house itself) were pretty, with much daylight, newly renovated and clean (including the bathroom and kitchen). Fred, the landlord, responded quickly to all of our questions and I could clearly see he tried anything to make our stay as good as possible. If I will ever come back to Brussels for an internship, I'd love to return to the Schuman house.
I stayed at the house for 3 months and enjoyed it a lot. The place is clean and in a good shape. Frederik is not only very nice, he is also very helpful and takes good care of the house. I had not visited the place before but this was no problem with Frederik giving me a digital tour by means of a video chat. I highly recommend this place, it is a very good pick especially if you are in Brussels only for a limited amount of time, it is very close to the major buildings of the European Commission (by bike only about 5 minutes away, walking time 15 minutes). Also, it is very close to the park so you can easily go for a run if you like.
I stayed in the house for 6 months. It was a great experience since the house is in the European district and a nice play to stay. The house is modern, often renovated and the landlord is really nice and comprehensive.
I stayed at Fred's house during this summer. It is a cozy, very clean place with the city centre, shops, the EU institutions and a beautiful park close by. Fred is a super nice host who will organise all you need in advance. Perfect home during an internship :)
I stayed in Fred's home for a few months and he was really a great host. The house is quiet, warm, centrally located near Merode and Schuman and with a good/cool spirit. The moving in process was flexible as I did a video interview before my arrival. I liked the fact that the price was all included (no surprises) and the guarantee very low. Thanks again Fred for your flexibility and help. I highly recommend this place!!
