European Commission Trainees' Committee is rated 3 out of 5 in the category political organization. Read and write reviews about European Commission Trainees' Committee. The Trainees' Committee (TC) represents the trainees working at the European Commission and is elected at the beginning of each traineeship. The Trainees' Committee plays two roles. First, it acts as a facilitator for all trainees between them and external parties like the Traineeships Office (TO), the Directorate-Generals (DG) and other partners. Secondly, it provides trainees with the opportunity to enhance their traineeship experience by socialising and spending their free time with other stagiaires through the coordination of different subcommittees. The subcommittees are created by the trainees and differ from session to session. They cover areas such as sports, culture, careers, charity and entertainment. The TC also is in contact with external bodies and individuals in order to bring events and activities to life. These include amongst others: EU institutions officials, venue managers, sponsors, travel agents, food/drink suppliers and media managers. The Committee consists of five members with specific functions. However, we work together as a team to achieve the best results for the trainees. These members are doing this on a volunteer basis with no extra allowance or privileges. However, they might have an advantage on the selection for the Liaison Committee done by the TO.
