The Markt of Bruges is a wonderful destination, with many colorful sights to catch your eye. While not as stunningly spectacular as the Grand Place in Bruxelles, it is still a magical place. The main plaza is large and spacious with many horses and carriages awaiting tourists, and is surrounded by fabulous facades and wonderful history. Go early in the morning or late in the day for the best opportunities without crowds. Venture off in any (or many) direction(s) to find local flavor, color and interests that surround the Markt.

Travelling from England with a coach party day trip is an easy way to visit with 5 hours to look around. The market square is so nice with lots of space and great independent shops in the cobbled streets around it. If you venture further from the centre there are lots of lovely streets and canals to explore with hardly any tourists.
An iconic place. Fine historical buildings. Oher sights (churches, belfry, canals) are few minutes away. The place is heavily visited. There are fewer people in the evening.
The plaza is great. And Bruges is one, if not the best medieval cities I ever visited. Well preserved and maintained. The people are also very nice.

Beautiful old market square at center of Brugge. Lots of historical buildings and statues. The market is surrounded with restaurants and shops.
Great city. Loved the cities Beer. The canals and architecture is unique. The chocolate is also unique in it's own way. see pics!
I visited Bruges and I find it very beautiful city. I took very beautiful photos which I believe encourage you to visit this city.
