TO DIE FOR!!! Never been a big fan of waffles, but I prefer them to pancakes. We went here because you have to try waffles in Belgium, and this place had the best reviews...MY OH MY!!! Never at any time have I had a waffle that tastes like this!!! Ridiculously delicious! All the ingredients a high quality and it's simply to die for. Needless to say we went back for more, and I keep looking up flights just to go back and have more. That's not an exaggeration...that's how much I enjoyed these waffles! We tried another place in the town centre thinking that ALL waffles would be just as good...but they weren't. Chez Albert is something special!!! (We have since changed our home waffle recipe to match!) @the.beverley.bunch

The waffle by itself was absolutely brilliant - soft,fluffy centres & insides but crispy outsides and edges. But both the toppings I had were below average. One was a fruit compote which was very sour and way too sweet. The caramel was really sweet as well. You should definitely get a waffle here but choose your topping wisely.
There was a line when we got there but it moved quickly and we were able to get our waffle after a short wait. We had the one with chocolate and strawberries. The waffle was good- piping hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chocolate sauce was a little too sweet for me but still pleasant. And the mix with the strawberries was great. Could understand why this place is so popular.

Best waffles in town - crisp and soft inside. Best with strawberries, chocolate, and cream in my opinion. You can order at the window and enjoy at the nearby square or Markt while watching the world go by.
Best Waffle I had in Belgium, and a decent price as well. These are made with a real yeast dough (like the original Belgian recipe) and not with baking powder like most street waffles are nowadays. Gives it an incredibly sweet and crisp waffle while the inside remains fluffy.
