Omg! I should have read the reviews before coming. Reviews are correct. This place is an absolute rip off. 29 Euro for a main dish that's absolutely so tiny that it left me still super hungry. Attached, the size of main dishes they serve. Ridiculous.
It is a must if you are in Brussels Airport!! But it is quite expensive!! Indeed, when you go to pay, they ask you if you want to pay more with a tip! What the hell?!?!! Taking into account the prices, the tip should be included!!
Just left after ten minutes waiting in front of an empty table. Whatever the issue the 3 waiters were discussing they could have at least have us seated.
I pass by Black pearls often while at airport. The last time, I took one of the take away boxes. Today I decided to sit down there and eat. The miso soup was delicious and the portion for 6 was fine although it was funny when the waiter asked me if I wanted a life of bread with it. The sushi I took was well presented but did not match the picture on the menu. The wasabi and seaweeds came in one small bowl which made it hard towards the end to separate them from each other but the taste was good. The prices are high even for good quality, in my opinion. Service was friendly but found it strange that the waitress indirectly ask my for Tipp when I was paying by asking me if she should add Tipp to the amount of the meal. Horrible experience: bad food that is overpriced, bad indications (apparently, you are not allowed to eat there some of the food they sell, for whatever reason, but that is nowhere indicated), and arrogant staff in case of questions
Star Sushi Restaurant with rather high prices. I had a mixed sashimi and sushi plate. The sashimi was by far not sashimi quality. The sushi was readymade out of the fridge, taste was accordingly intermediate. Wine was good but overpriced. Service very good. Definetely still a not recommended to go and recommend the owner to rethink the quality sold in the menu versus delivered. Disappointed.
