I really enjoyed visiting the Atomium. Staff is friendly and helpful. You can do a tour on your own. It's really interesting to learn more about the Expo in 1958. I went with my son of 10 years old and he really liked it. The view is also great!

The waiting time is too long and unfortunately it was not worth the wait. It's designed for people to go through quickly and without much thought. It's also definitely too pricey for what it is, even in combination with the design museum, which was also not worth our time. The Atomium is best admired from the outside (with a waffle), not from the inside.

A fun side visit from Brussels - an easy and quick train ride. It's a big outdoor space with giant atom sculpture/building - and lots of miniatures building/countries to walk through. Plan a few hours to enjoy the space - probably a half day trip in total. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is also a restaurant onsite.

The idea is futuristic technology and it's great for kids but entertaining for adults too. It's filled with bright lights and sounds and the escalators to from one level to the other are really well done. We went up and down the elevator several times trying to get a video of the ceiling. There's lots of space for car park but we have to walk a little to get the entrance.

Loved this place. Kids loved it too. Quite informative inside, also some animations to help understand certain things. Not very expensive, can also be covered with a combi ticket. Took us around 3 hours for a leisure tour.

The Atomium is a landmark building in Brussels, originally constructed for the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair (Expo 58). It stands 102 m tall. Its nine 18 m diameter stainless steel clad spheres are connected, so that the whole forms the shape of a unit cell α-iron crystal magnified 165 billion times.

As advertised. 9 shiny big balls. Lovely park for a walk.
