Very nice and big zoo. Plan to have at least 3hrs if you d like to see all animals and expositions. If you go there at the morning you have more chance to see all animals because at the afternoon some of them hides from the sun and it is hard to find them.

Beautiful city (Antwerp) worth visiting. Nice Zoo and other historical locations. Love to visit it again.
We spent the entire day at the Zoo - it is beautifully laid out, very clean. Loved the Skywalk . Need to go back again as we only saw about half of it. The next day we went in the evening for The China Lights - all I can say is WOW - we felt our visits to the zoo were really good value . A big bonus as well - any staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful.
They upscaled their flamingoplein a lot. In the past you needed to already pay when you wanted to enjoy just sitting there. They now moved the entrance a little so you now have a meeting place in the zoo but you don't have to pay to enter. In the summer they do like a summer bar with summer concerts. So lovely and well taught. I have a yearly subscription to the zoo and it's so worth it
