Lots of space in here. Everything is fine. Except 1 thing, the noisy stairs. Plssssss get rid of it. It's like a playground for kids (the computers are on the stairs, so they run/jump on it).

Great library. Lots of sitting spaces. Availibility of charging points, its open seven days a week. Self service kiosks to borrow or return the books. Membership is affordable. First floor houses english literature books. Decent collection but i wish it was more. There is a great collection of dvds to borrow. It is well maintained.

A nice little gem for bibliophiles. I am an international graduate student in one of Antwerp's great institutions and I would be lost on where to study were it not for this great library. I like disappearing into the library when I need some intensive reading sessions. It is free of charge to use and open on 7days a week. It opens at 10am on weekdays and closes at 8pm. On Saturdays it's open till 5pm; Sundays till 2pm.The ground floor is always a beehive of activities with children, young people and adults engaged in all manner of activities. The upper floor is more silent and conducive for reading. Word of ADVICE: Bring along a pair of ear/head phones(noise-canceling would be ideal) as the noise from the ground floor seeps into the upper floor. Lots of sitting areas. You can charge your laptop as there are many power outlets along the walls. There is also Free WiFi. There are locker cabinets on the ground floor where one can store their belongings while in the library. There is a cafeteria at the entrance where one can buy drinks and food. Thank you Antwerp for this service.
