You definitely need a low wattage electric camping kettle here as our standard kettle tripped out the Sixtusbos circuit breakers. A first. No issues with our kettle previously. Also we could only run our Truma Ultraheat on a maximum of 1000 and not the 2000 setting as this had the same effect. We did not have these issues in the Netherlands or Germany or anywhere else we stayed. We had to boil water in a pan. Didn't mind too much. Danny asked if we wanted fresh bread in the morning. We declined though the fresh bread in Belgium is very nice. Delhaise, Ieper is probably the closest supermarket with a large carpark. Be warned prices are steep in Belgium compared to the UK or Germany. Fresh milk nearly 2 euros for what costs 1 euro 20 in Germany. The chemical toilet waste is a trap in the ground which is okay. Separate water hoses are available for toilet use and filling the water tank. The grey waste drain is located here too. A fair price for the facilities and the proximity to Westvleteren's Sint Sinctus Abbey and the shop In De Vrede. 4 cases of 6 bottles of Westvleteren 12, pate and 300 grams of cheese from the Abbey Shop cost 99 euros. I would be quite happy to stay here again. I think the site would benefit from a few improvements but given the times it was fine. It is very quiet here at night. It is the perfect place for heading towards Eurotunnel or stopping for your first night or longer. Travel here was within the Coronavirus regulations and we had a negative PCR test with Centogene.

We were very well met and this place is so calm and beautiful. Nice to be able to fill up the water tank and throw away trash.

Great camperstop to chill - in a rural location this is a friendly place with the owners husband and wife farmer \u200d team making you feel very welcome. Free leccy and water, WC etc. Can cycle to nearest town in 15mins. Great place
