The small cemetery is quite impressive. On the right side of the church about halfway down is a row of graves of Ulstermen who died May 28 & 29, 1940. One grave stone is of an unknown soldier, one is of a Jewish soldier and the other 4 are Christian. On the left side of the church towards the back are about 6 rows of graves of French troops who died in 1914 and 1915. One is of a Jew, most are Christian, a handful are graves of Muslim soldiers. One forgets - at least I never considered - that many of the French soldiers were from their colonies and many were Muslim. It was definitely hallowed ground.
