My favourite saison on the planet, in a beautifully scenic location, in a pub full of character, run by friendly, helpful people. Couldn't possible ask for anything more?

bought a bottle of this beer in the US, got home cooled it down and popped the cap to find a cork under it, i don’t have a corkscrew because i don’t buy corked bottles.. so i had to use something else to open it, of course that made a huge mess and foamed up over half the beer, never buying again

One of the more interesting breweries one can visit -- in all regards. Complex, unusual beers and a cozy setting in the Ardennes, and a brewer who reflects his product.

Some of the best, most interesting beer in the world. The brewmaster, Dany, is extremely nice, and was a pleasure to meet. A small place, but that only adds to the charm.

superb brewery products.. even if not big production, it's the or one of the best brewery in the Beer World .. i thing comments are made by persons who don't know real ale craft beers.. an so, in this case how Google cannot be taken out so injust comments from ridiculous people ! ans in place of fantome brewery bosses, i would lodge a complaint ! also i thing that Real Artist don't appear themselve as Artists !

We went as part of a Belgium Beer tour of the Ardennes and our entire group thought this was by far the best and most memorable stop. Dany is a genius and the beer he made was amazing. He is a one of a kind genuine person and we feel blessed to have gotten to meet him. A most enjoyable day. We would not of wanted to miss this. All our best to Dany... Live on Fantome!!

Visited in the spring of 2014, after emailing Dany (the proprietor) to see if we could visit. This ended up being the best stop of any, just based on his hospitality alone! He met us and showed us around the brewery, and cracked open a bottle to share. My travel partner spoke French fluently, which helped a great deal. We chatted for a bit, then he drove us (!!) to a nearby cafe where we had some food and more beer. He paid the waiter for the meal before I had an opportunity to object. Read that again: He bought us lunch! We thought the day was over, but nope. As we talked about his beer, he mentioned he did a collaboration with a local Chocalatier/tourist trap. We didn't expect him to drive us up there and introduce us!! We bought a bottle of Fantome and some chocolate there, and headed back. Once back at the brewery, we cracked one more bottle and enjoyed ourselves immensely. I had intended to purchase a few bottles directly from him, but unfortunately everything was accounted for to be shipped overseas already :-(. As we were leaving, Dani dashed back inside, only to reappear with a bottle of Fantome to take with us on our way. It was amazing! I gave him a big hug, which I think caught him off-guard. In all, I would recommend visiting Fantome just to meet Dany. He's a really sweet guy, and I think he enjoys the company a lot. I would highly recommend bringing along a French speaker and contacting him a long while in advance to get everything squared away.
