Really beautiful medieval tower, that has recently been renovated since it collapsed a couple of years ago, the renovation was done superbly, now you can go all the way to the top of this beautiful tower, and have a beautiful view over the neighboring area. It is located near the river De Demer and you can go for a nice stroll alongside it and find a peaceful strip of nature to spend a nice afternoon of walking.

Very tall
A lovely old donjon build in 1383 by Lord Renier de second. Normally it would have been to live in with 4 floors. Later on, it hasn't been used at all. Many centuries later, it has collapsed & then, it was renovated. You can still see a bit of the old brickwork outside & in. There is a large top platform where you can see the surrounding area inclusive the church of Scherpenheuvel, the Abbey of Averbode. It is free to visit. Lovely views inside & out! A must to visit! :)
Interesting manner to restore a once derilict monument, marrying modern with ancient.
Prachtig monument met mooi stukje natuur. Jammer genoeg nu gesloten maar aftellen ..
Op deze plek schaatsen in de zon! Wat kan men zich nog meer wensen!
